Subcontract Manager (12 months FTC) Hampshire Salary - up to £50,000 depending on experience Subcontract Manager: An International High-Tech organisation is now seeking an experienced individual to apply Subcontract Management expertise across the complete project lifecycle from Bid through to Support. READ MORE AND APPLY Commutable Locations: Portsmouth, Hampshire, Surrey, Southampton, Isle of Wight Subcontract Manager Requirements: - Take responsibility for assigned work packages to provide subcontract management throughout the project lifecycle from bid through support. - Deliver effective subcontractor selection, value for money subcontracts and timely completion of subcontracted goods and services. - Support the business unit bidding function in securing future work by influencing procurement requirements, the identification and negotiation with potential subcontractors, obtaining/generating cost and price data and creating subcontract procurement plans for inclusion in proposal documentation. - Participate in the project planning process so as to ensure that the plan accurately reflects the timescales and activities necessary to obtain products and services as required. - Have a strong team ethic coupled with an ability to work on own initiative. - Lead and co-ordinate multi-functional teams comprising engineering, quality, commercial and administrative staff to produce the necessary subcontract specifications, terms and conditions and statements of work.

- Demonstrate an ability to work closely with the core project team, subcontractors and internal customers to ensure delivery of the supplier quality. - Resolve subcontractor issues impacting on the Programme Schedule and implement corrective action plans with suppliers where required. - Evaluate contract performance to determine necessity for amendments or extensions. - Compilation and presentation of board level reports, presentations and KPI. Subcontract Manager Qualifications / Skills / Experience Requirements - Experience in the successful management and delivery of technically challenging development subcontracts - Experience of leading a team in formulating, negotiating, placing and managing a subcontract. - Have a technical and commercial background and an understanding of Subcontract Management methodologies, with a strong emphasis on subcontractor performance related techniques. - Ability to solve related problems including the creating of innovative solutions to internal and external issues whilst demonstrating sound decision making capabilities. - Strong supplier and customer facing skills - Previous practical experience of managing terminal or equipment programmes/projects in a large Aerospace or Defence organisation. - Experience in Subcontract and/or Project Management. - Previous experience of working in a bid function and the production of bid input data.
